There is nothing quite like a weekend at the Simola Hillclimb.
Set in the heart of Knysna on South Africa’s spectacular Garden Route, the Simola Hillclimb brings together four days of speed, incredible cars, entertainment and unmistakable atmosphere for one of the country’s most memorable long weekends.
From 29 April to 2 May 2027, thousands of spectators will descend on Knysna for the 17th edition of the Simola Hillclimb — whether they are lifelong motorsport fans, car lovers, families looking for an unforgettable day out, or simply coming to experience The Hill for the first time.
The weekend starts with Fan Fest, bringing the action into the heart of Knysna with car displays, entertainment, food and the chance to see the cars and drivers up close.
On Friday, Classic Car Friday sees 65 iconic, historic and classic cars take on the 1.9 km Simola Hill in pursuit of the Classic Conqueror title. Then the intensity steps up for King of the Hill, with two days of supercars, race cars and purpose-built Hillclimb machines going flat-out against the clock.
It is fast. It is loud. And from the cars and racing to the views, atmosphere and sheer spectacle of The Hill, you do not have to be a motorsport fan to have an incredible time.

Age Requirement
Open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Parking
PUBLIC PARKING
Free onsite parking is available in a grass field. The terrain may not suit low-clearance vehicles. Spectators can access Gasoline Alley and the event grounds from the parking area.
P1: VIP PARKING
P1 Parking is available to purchase online via Howler only, with convenient access to Pit Lane and the event grounds. Not suitable for low-clearance vehicles. Pit Access or VIP Entry is required. General Access ticket holders should not purchase P1 Parking.
LE MANS VIP LOUNGE PARKING
Guests receive one P1 parking sticker per two tickets purchased. Stickers are issued with VIP wristbands at the Welcome Centre in Knysna.
WET WEATHER
If it rains, we recommend using the Town > Event Shuttle instead of onsite parking. Shuttle tickets are available from the Shuttle Hub.

• Right of admission reserved.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Bags, parcels and personal items may be subject to security checks.
• Vehicles parked incorrectly or in no-parking areas may be towed or wheel-clamped.
• Tickets are non-transferable.
• No branding other than official event sponsors is permitted.
• No branded gazebos or umbrellas; plain ones are welcome.
• Do not enter fenced, taped or restricted areas.
PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Photography, filming, audio recording and livestreaming take place throughout the event. By purchasing a ticket or entering the event, you consent to being recorded, including children in your care. Content may be used by the event and authorised partners for coverage, livestreaming, marketing and promotional purposes.

GENERAL ENTRY & TICKET UPGRADES – REFUNDS
Refund requests made before the event are subject to the following fees:
• More than 30 days: 25% fee; 75% refunded.
• 7–30 days: 50% fee; 50% refunded.
• Less than 7 days: 75% fee; 25% refunded.
• After the event starts: No refunds.
In serious, unforeseen circumstances preventing attendance, a refund request may be submitted for consideration. Any refund granted is at the event organiser’s discretion.
HOSPITALITY TICKETS – REFUNDS
Due to advance hospitality commitments and costs, the following applies:
• More than 30 days: 75% fee; 25% refunded.
• 30 days or less: No refunds.
• After the event starts: No refunds.
