The Simola Hillclimb is the premier motorsport event in South Africa - having become the "must attend" event on the m otoring calendar.
Attracting sports stars\, celebrities\, the countr y's top drivers and cars\, and thousands of engaged and passionate fans\, there is something for everyone - men\, women\, and children.
The fo rmat for the 2023 Simola Hillclimb\, held in the beautifu l Garden Route town of Knysna\, sees four days of activity comprising the Fan Fest on Thursday and Friday\, and three days of track action from Frid ay to Sunday. The adrenaline-fueled extended weekend’s track action star ts off with the intriguing and emotive Classic Car Friday\, comprising a d azzling array of 65 iconic cars and drivers of all eras competing for the prized Classic Conqueror Trophy.
On Saturday and Sunday\, the big gu ns come out to play\, and fans can look forward to seeing everything from showroom-specification sedans and sports cars to elite supercars\, virtual ly priceless pure-bred race cars and purpose-built Hillclimb beasts being pushed to the limit on the Simola Hill’s challenging 1.9 km course. A ma ximum of 84 competitors will be vying for the King of the Hill titles in t he three available categories: Road-going Saloon Cars and Supercars\; Modi fied Saloon Cars\; and Single Seater and Sports Cars.
With rapidly g rowing interest from abroad\, it’s expected that an even larger continge nt of overseas competitors will be joining the fray when the flag drops on the start line\, adding to the allure of this truly exceptional automotiv e extravaganza.

FREE FAN FESTIVAL | TOWN DIS PLAY AND PARADE:
Preceding the track action\, fans can get up close and personal with the race cars and competitors. Join the excitem ent in Hedge Street\, Central Knysna from early morning to shortly after l unchtime when the Classic Car Friday competitors exhibit their cars on Thu rsday\, followed by the King of the Hill competitors on Friday. The displa ys are followed by the car parades which take the competitors down Waterfr ont Drive\, towards the Simola Hillclimb Venue\, on Old Cape Road. The inc reasingly popular parades see the streets of Knysna lined with fans enjoyi ng the sights and sounds of the spectacular machinery. There is no entry f ee to visit these activities.
